Hi there, I’m Kate. I’m an experienced engineering manager who’s seen what works—and what doesn’t—at fast-growing software start-ups.
Some leaders know how to get things done but harm morale in the process, leading to short-term wins but long-term losses. Some leaders know how to build a happy and psychologically safe team environment, but struggle when given projects with tight deadlines.
The key to becoming the type of leader who can do both is in how you communicate: in writing and verbally, in prepared remarks as well as impromptu conversation. Above all, it needs to be authentic!
